University of Florida | Lake Nona Research and Academic Center

The University of Florida’s new $53 million, 100,000-square-foot, four-story Research and Academic Center at Lake Nona joins other significant medical education neighbors dotting the Lake Nona Gateway Interchange to create a medical city in the 600-acre Science and Technology Park. Waveguide provided audiovisual, structured cabling and acoustical consulting services for the facility which includes technology in one large 300-seat auditorium, multiple team and study rooms, one skills lab, multiple divisible classrooms, two 60-seat classrooms and a master control room. The modern, largely glass-faced building is LEED certified.
