CSULB’s new $103 million, 90,000-square-foot Parkside North Residential Housing building is a state-of-the-art four-story building that provides students with 472 beds, pod study rooms, centralized common spaces for student cooking, dining, study and socializing. The hall includes a rooftop lounge for movie nights, multi-purpose room set up for gaming, multiple smaller technology-rich lounges and digital signage throughout.
The 15,000-square-foot Housing & Residential Life Administration and Hillside Commons, also known as the Hillside Gateway, includes a mix of private and open offices, conference rooms and support spaces. Waveguide provided audiovisual, information technology, acoustics and security consulting and design throughout both projects. The Parkside North Residence Hall is the CSU system’s first net-zero energy Living Building Challenge Petal Certified and LEED Platinum residential building.
