The new $94.5 million Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) is located at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The stunning 53,000-square-foot art museum includes 25,000 square feet of exhibition galleries. An additional 10,000 square feet is dedicated for education programs, performances, public gatherings and event spaces. Waveguide provided IT consulting and design throughout the museum, and AV and IT consulting for the lobby, classroom, administrative meeting room, divisible event space, event pre-function space and outdoor terrace event area.
The museum serves not just as a beautiful place for visitors to enjoy the galleries, it also serves as a center for community engagement where many types of social and learning events are held. Waveguide worked with the architect to help achieve their creative vision in this architecturally complex building while creating high quality AV spaces that effectively support OCMA’s wide range of programming and events. Waveguide’s design allows the space to maintain its beauty while being fully functional for special events at any time of day.
