National Park Service | Blue Ridge Parkway Destination Center

Waveguide’s extensive experience with large-venue audio, flexible technology design and government project budgeting and oversight were integral to the project team’s design of user-friendly and cost-effective technology at the National Park Service’s $9.8 million, 12,800-square-foot visitor center, which included the design of a high-definition theater, paging and lobby displays as well as a distance-learning classroom. The National Park Service’s new destination center in the Blue Ridge mountains was designed to include energy-saving features and to achieve LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council.
