Waveguide delves into innovation early, deploying a pioneering IP-based remote AV helpdesk for The University of Wisconsin’s Pyle Center.

Waveguide’s second logo debuts in the late 90’s.

Waveguide answers a client need by adding dedicated software and support teams. The innovative teams known respectively as Brainwave and Firstwave immediately create value for clients by helping them make the most of their technology investments.

After completing design work on CDC Buildings 21 and 24, Waveguide lands its first-ever Firstwave support contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

2006 Waveguide celebrates its 10th anniversary in business.

Waveguide enters the legal sector by serving as AV designer and operator for Kirkland & Ellis LLP’s headquarters.

As leaders in establishing AV as a critical component in the burgeoning sustainability movement, Waveguide achieved the first-ever LEED credit for an AV solution at our client KeyBank in Ohio, and Scott Walker was the world’s first AV professional to hold both CTS-D and LEED AP accreditations. Waveguide’s new headquarters was LEED certified.

Waveguide grows into a coast-to-coast firm by opening locations in California and Florida, staffed with 40 Waveriders and a diverse portfolio of clients.

Waveguide delivers AV design on hometown brand Coca-Cola’s Workplace 2020 project and later signs on to operate with the Firstwave team.

The third iteration of the Waveguide logo was launched as a nod to the evolution from AV to integrated AV/IT technologies.

Scott Walker becomes the first inductee into System Contractor News’ AV Hall of Fame, honored for his leadership in sustainability initiatives and contributions that have shaped the industry.

2013 In partnership with Rios Clementi Hale, the Grand Park project earned multiple honors, including the Los Angeles Architectural Award of Excellence, the NECA Los Angeles Electrical Excellence Award, and AIA Los Angeles Building Team of the Year. {{current_slide_index}} - {{total_slide_count}} 2014 Waveguide is entrusted as Boston Consulting Group’s (BCG) worldwide AV/IT advisor. {{current_slide_index}} - {{total_slide_count}} Waveguide is recognized as the industry’s first APEx certified (AVIXA AV Provider for Excellence) consultant, signifying independently audited excellence in project management, technical performance and client experience. 2016 On its 20th anniversary year, Waveguide becomes part of the Compass Group USA family of companies, the leading foodservice, facilities, and support services organization worldwide. {{current_slide_index}} - {{total_slide_count}} 2017 Waveguide partnered with Gensler on the Hyatt Global Headquarters, a workplace designed to support collaboration and global connectivity. The project was recognized as a 2017 Interior Design Best of Year Winner for Large Corporate Office. {{current_slide_index}} - {{total_slide_count}} Waveguide’s crew surpasses 100+ employees and expands to approximately 46 states.

Waveguide provides AV solutions for seven Bank of America sites spanning across five cities nationwide, including Charlotte and New York City.

Waveguide helped Pfizer launch a next-generation hybrid headquarters at NYC’s Hudson Yards, designing and operating broadcast-ready meeting spaces and control rooms so that in-person and remote participants could collaborate effortlessly. 2022 Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television, a collaborative project with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill that included our AV consulting and design expertise, earned an AIA California Design Award of Merit. {{current_slide_index}} - {{total_slide_count}} Waveguide takes on a pioneering role at The Hive at Microsoft research and development lab to shape next-generation meeting spaces. {{current_slide_index}} - {{total_slide_count}} 2023

Waveguide takes home Consultant of the Year at the first-ever Sony AV Partner Awards during InfoComm.

2025 OC Health Care Agency at Marine Way, a project in partnership with Gensler, brings home several awards including the AIA OC Merit Award. The project is also acknowledged by the National Design-Build Awards in two categories: National Award of Merit in Federal/State/County/Municipal and National Best in VDC (Virtual Design Construction).
