The University of Tennessee’s John Tickle College of Engineering building was built to meet the administrative and educational needs of the school and its partners. The 132,787-square-foot facility represents a substantial investment by the university to maintain and bolster the 177-year-old College of Engineering’s position as a top tier engineering school. Technology plays an important role in leveraging the bricks-and-mortar investment and extending the reach and influence of the college. In its 2013 programming report, Waveguide scoped and described the audiovisual systems to be designed for the multiple lecture halls, labs and conference rooms, including audiovisual presentation systems, speech reinforcement systems and videoconference/distance learning systems.
