Waveguide began working with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s Campus Information Technologies and Educational Services (CITES) group in 2006 under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. That contract has included classroom technology design and upgrades at Huff Hall, the College of Pharmacy, the School of Music, the Student Dining and Residential Programs building, as well as planning, design and instructional technology software programming for UIUC’s new 160,000-square-foot, $60 million Business Instructional Facility (BIF). UIUC BIF was conceived as a way to symbolize the school’s commitment to the future by providing a world-class environment for bringing together College of Business students with alumni and corporate partners. The facility includes advanced learning technology in state-of-the-art classrooms, student offices and a 300-seat auditorium. The Business Instructional Facility was the first building at any public university business school to be certified LEED Platinum.
