With approximately 1,600 lawyers in 17 offices across nine countries, Sidley Austin is among the largest law firms in the world. In 2009, Waveguide was hired to help Sidley address the changes in the legal profession that now compel top firms to become heavy users of communication technology. Waveguide visited each major office and assessed the existing technology as well as the people and process aspects of the firm’s technology delivery. Waveguide issued a technology assessment and master plan report in October of 2009. Since then, we have designed, programmed and overseen technology standardization upgrades at nine offices. Waveguide also provides back-fill support for the firm’s technicians to establish best practices for managing technology-enabled meetings.
