Waveguide has served as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s AV consultant since 1997 on 10 separate projects, totaling nearly 1 million square feet and $14 million in AV technology. The CDC’s 200,000-square-foot Global Communications and Training Center serves as the main training center for the CDC’s Atlanta campus and features a state-of-the-art conference center with multiple divisible meeting rooms that seat 30 to 400 participants. Each of the center’s premier meeting spaces allows for high-definition video origination, videoconferencing, overflow and recording. All meeting rooms feed the facility’s AV operations center to allow for full AV control and signal distribution throughout the building and to other facilities on campus. Waveguide also provided software programming services as well as on-site technology management services for this project.
