The Broadway Trade Center in the historic core of downtown Los Angeles is the site of the former Hamburger & Sons department store, originally opened in 1908. The building consists of approximately 1.1 million square feet and is undergoing extensive renovations and restoration to accommodate a broad range of retail and commercial uses, including rooftop parks and event spaces. Waveguide is currently providing technology consulting services for the 42,000-square-foot 7th floor rooftop park as well as the 71,200-square-foot 10th floor rooftop deck. Both spaces are intended to serve a variety of public and private uses, and will be home to public parks, picnic lawns, movie screenings, concerts, swimming pools, gardens, clubs, bars, restaurants and more. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2017 and be complete by 2019.
